About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, configure, monitor, and maintain Windows Server environments, system software, and supporting tools
  • Support IIS, web/application servers, application pools, services, and configuration files
  • Monitor availability, performance, logs, storage, scheduled jobs, and environment health
  • Troubleshoot server, application, network, database connectivity, access, deployment, and performance issues
  • Support backups, restores, disaster recovery exercises, patching, upgrades, and service recovery
  • Create and maintain PowerShell automation scripts
  • Support batch processing, job monitoring, reruns, and operational reporting
  • Support Azure DevOps, TFS, Git, build pipelines, release pipelines, and deployment automation
  • Assist with builds, deployments, environment validation, release support, and rollback planning
  • Support authentication and access management technologies including Active Directory, service accounts, certificates, SSO, MFA, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and Okta
  • Support REST APIs, API gateways, queueing platforms, messaging, and secure endpoint configuration
  • Assist with database environment support, connectivity, logging, monitoring, backup coordination, and storage growth review
  • Support monitoring, logging, performance testing, and reporting tools
  • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, configuration notes, deployment notes, and operational procedures
  • Follow change management, incident management, security, audit, and compliance processes
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve infrastructure, application, tool, and integration issues
  • Assist with cloud readiness, server upgrade planning, environment inventory, and technology modernization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is desired; equivalent education, training, or experience may be considered
  • Minimum five years of systems administration or infrastructure support experience
  • Experience administering Windows Server
  • Experience with IIS and web/application server support
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, TFS, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Active Directory, Okta, SSO, MFA, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
  • Experience with certificates, service accounts, and access management
  • Experience with SQL Server or relational database support
  • Experience with batch scheduling and operational job support
  • Experience with REST APIs, API gateways, and messaging platforms
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, performance testing, and reporting tools
  • Experience with backup, restore, patching, upgrade, and disaster recovery support
  • Knowledge of cloud readiness and infrastructure modernization concepts
  • Experience supporting enterprise application environments across development, test, UAT, and production
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, applications, databases, networks, access, and deployments
  • Ability to work effectively with developers, business analysts, DBAs, security teams, network teams, vendors, and management
  • Ability to document work clearly and follow operational, security, and change control processes
  • Ability to support planned maintenance, deployments, production issues, or recovery activities when needed
