About the role
- Analyze user needs and evaluate software solutions within an Agile methodology.
- Create comprehensive test models for release testing, including test plans, scripts, and required test data.
- Lead and coordinate release testing activities as needed.
- Estimate testing timelines and deliver work according to established schedules.
- Develop Release Test Plans and user acceptance criteria, including defined entry and exit criteria.
- Maintain and update standardized testing procedures and quality guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with customers, stakeholders, and software vendors.
- Assist in planning, building, and maintaining test environments.
- Adhere to standardized testing methodologies and processes.
- Coordinate testing-related tasks within release cycles.
- Participate in structured walkthroughs and peer reviews.
- Execute release testing and validate installation procedures.
- Engage in “Lessons Learned” sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify, document, and manage defects through resolution and closure.
- Clarify ambiguous requirements and drive testing to successful outcomes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues using structured methodologies.
- Work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior QA professional, with deep expertise in software testing.
- Strong experience developing test plans, estimates, schedules, and test strategies.
- Proficient in writing SQL queries for data validation.
- Solid experience in Database testing and Batch job testing.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, execute, and debug test cases, scripts, plans, and strategy documents.
- 4+ years of experience working within SDLC-based projects (Agile, Scrum, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.).
- Experience preparing Defect Status Reports and Daily/Weekly testing status updates.
- Health Insurance industry knowledge required—including Pharmacy, Claims Processing, PBM, ICD‑9/10, Medicare, or Medicaid.
- Working knowledge of Azure and Confluence.
- Ability to interpret and document business and technical testing requirements across varying development methodologies.
- Extensive experience with Test Management tools such as JIRA, Xray, and Azure DevOps (VSTS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present test results to multiple audiences.
- Working knowledge of AI tools for automation.
- Familiarity with industry‑standard automated testing and/or performance testing tools.
