About the role

  • Analyze user needs and evaluate software solutions within an Agile methodology.
  • Create comprehensive test models for release testing, including test plans, scripts, and required test data.
  • Lead and coordinate release testing activities as needed.
  • Estimate testing timelines and deliver work according to established schedules.
  • Develop Release Test Plans and user acceptance criteria, including defined entry and exit criteria.
  • Maintain and update standardized testing procedures and quality guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with customers, stakeholders, and software vendors.
  • Assist in planning, building, and maintaining test environments.
  • Adhere to standardized testing methodologies and processes.
  • Coordinate testing-related tasks within release cycles.
  • Participate in structured walkthroughs and peer reviews.
  • Execute release testing and validate installation procedures.
  • Engage in “Lessons Learned” sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify, document, and manage defects through resolution and closure.
  • Clarify ambiguous requirements and drive testing to successful outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues using structured methodologies.
  • Work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Senior QA professional, with deep expertise in software testing.
  • Strong experience developing test plans, estimates, schedules, and test strategies.
  • Proficient in writing SQL queries for data validation.
  • Solid experience in Database testing and Batch job testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, execute, and debug test cases, scripts, plans, and strategy documents.
  • 4+ years of experience working within SDLC-based projects (Agile, Scrum, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Experience preparing Defect Status Reports and Daily/Weekly testing status updates.
  • Health Insurance industry knowledge required—including Pharmacy, Claims Processing, PBM, ICD‑9/10, Medicare, or Medicaid.
  • Working knowledge of Azure and Confluence.
  • Ability to interpret and document business and technical testing requirements across varying development methodologies.
  • Extensive experience with Test Management tools such as JIRA, Xray, and Azure DevOps (VSTS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present test results to multiple audiences.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools for automation.
  • Familiarity with industry‑standard automated testing and/or performance testing tools.
