About the role
- Guides strategic sourcing and category management for client organizational spend.
- Obtains approval for the category sourcing plan (including project prioritization, phasing, and savings).
- Integrates client stakeholders into the sourcing process using a tollgate procedure.
- Collects, cleanses, classifies, analyzes, and interprets client spend data.
- Leads the process to renew, extend, terminate, or renegotiate contracts.
- Develops an implementation plan to optimize purchasing channels for category spend.
- Holds full responsibility for enabling hosted and punch-out catalogs.
- Drives transactional automation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Requirements
- Formal education and relevant experience in a professional, sales, or technical area required.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the field.
- Applies best practices and business insight to improve products or services.
- Solves complex problems and brings a fresh perspective to existing processes.
- Self-starter who requires minimal supervision.
