About the role
- Lead and manage a team of security engineers focused on threat detection, automation, and infrastructure hardening.
- Collaborate closely with Cyber Threat leadership to align engineering efforts with broader security strategy and business objectives.
- Drive operational excellence in security tooling, automation, and incident response capabilities.
- Partner with the Senior Manager to develop and execute strategic initiatives that enhance the organization’s cyber defense posture.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to cybersecurity and data protection.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of threat detection, SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, and cloud security.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in regulated environments and managing sensitive data securely.
- U.S. citizenship required due to data sovereignty and compliance requirements.
- Preferred Certifications: CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional, GIAC – Global Information Assurance Certifications (e.g., GSEC, GCIA, GCIH), CEH – Certified Ethical Hacker, AWS Certified Security – Specialty or other cloud security certifications, CISM – Certified Information Security Manager, Security+ – CompTIA Security+ (for foundational knowledge).
