About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with teams to identify relevant data sources and gather necessary data.
  • Clean, transform, and preprocess data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and readiness for analysis.
  • Work with stakeholders to determine reporting needs that enable data-driven decisions.
  • Develop dashboards, charts, reports, and other visualizations to clearly present findings.
  • Automate recurring reports and data visualizations where possible to increase efficiency.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand their needs and offer data-driven recommendations.
  • Apply statistical techniques to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights and forecasts.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and correlations to support business objectives.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover new insights and opportunities.
  • Define and maintain a "source of truth" for data, ensuring consistency across teams.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Provide recommendations to business teams and management based on analysis to support actionable solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis.
  • Proactively suggest improvements to processes and ways to enhance data analysis efficiency.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including analysts, managers, and directors, to gather requirements and offer analytical support.
  • Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics)
  • 3+ years of working with PowerBI to create interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards
  • Demonstrated 4+ years of data-driven decision-making experience
  • Strong T-SQL, Python, PySpark, or R skills with the ability to write complex queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases
  • Experience with Google Analytics/GA4 an asset
  • Experience creating surveys and knowledge of Question Design best practices
  • Experience with standard and advanced data analysis techniques such as regression, trend lines, forecasting, modeling, clustering, Hypothesis Testing, Content Analysis and Narrative Analysis
  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
