About the role

  • Responsible for creating and posting content for Corporate Communications and Marketing projects, including articles, press releases, websites, social media, and blogs.
  • Collaborate closely with team members throughout content creation and publishing activities.
  • Ensure website content is up to date and support search engine optimization (SEO) efforts.
  • Assist with proofreading and editing materials to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Help maintain the company’s brand identity by ensuring consistency across communications.
  • Update and manage content on SharePoint sites, Teams sites, and the intranet.
  • Assist with social media strategies to enhance company presence.
  • Contribute to press conference planning, logistics, and media coordination.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with internal teams and external audiences.
  • Assist with document review and approval processes under guidance.
  • Help with corporate events and trade shows as needed.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and minutes, and track action items.
  • Support onboarding by working in-office several days a week initially, then primarily remote with periodic in-office attendance.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional writing or corporate communications experience (preferred).
  • Proven experience writing for multiple channels (web, print, email, social media) (preferred).
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and keyword optimization (preferred).
  • Proficiency with content management systems (preferred).
  • Experience collaborating with marketing, design, and executive teams (preferred).
  • Knowledge of AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, or other editorial style guides (preferred).
  • Strong research skills and ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging copy (preferred).
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of writing samples, including corporate or brand-focused work (preferred).
  • Employee background check required.
  • Candidates should live within a reasonable distance of Johnstown, PA to accommodate in-office requirements.
