About the role

  • Provide recommendations and analyses on improving DoD fleet management, implementing new technologies, reducing fleet costs, training fleet managers, and reducing petroleum consumption.
  • Evaluate NTV fleet operations and utilization data to help determine the greater benefit of leasing or owning vehicles.
  • Evaluate telematics data and policy; provide support to develop metrics and scorecards for vehicle operators; and provide recommendations to Fleet Managers to improve and standardize the program to include preventative maintenance, utilization, and operation standards.
  • Travel to installations as needed to participate in stakeholder meetings or provide training as needed
  • Build strong client relationships.
  • Work closely with senior Marine Corps leaders and installation level staff in the area of non-tactical fleet management.
  • Oversee program development and use management tools and databases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Public Policy or related discipline with 2-4 years of directly related experience.
  • At least 4 years of proven experience and knowledge of transportation management/NTV issues, policies, and programs.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate to enable full workflow integration of reports, forms, and intake processes.
  • Proficiency in Power Query, Microsoft Power BI, including DAX.
  • Ability to build automated dashboards that support diverse user groups.
  • Willingness and ability to set priorities and deliver under tight deadlines in a client facing position.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent time management, project management, follow-through and communication skills.
  • Capability to work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently in both a virtual and in-person environment.
  • The candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Common Access Card (CAC) for this position.
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Public Policy or related discipline. (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps structure and operations. (Preferred)
  • Transportation management development, implementation, and/or oversight at a federal level, preferably within the Department of Defense or GSA (Preferred)
  • Experience implementing row-level access control for sensitive dashboard views and user-based filtering. (Preferred)
