About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership and direction to the assigned sales team, focusing on new customer acquisition and customer retention
  • Guide the sales team to meet organizational goals of revenue growth and profitability
  • Hire, train, develop, and lead the members of the assigned sales team
  • Create strategies for sales and the organization to meet established financial and sales objectives
  • Collaborate closely with Regional Directors
  • Develop strong relationships with key corporate accounts
  • Ensure team has proper ongoing training and tools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry
  • Previous managerial experience required
  • Proven leader with demonstrated experience in building high performing teams
  • Proven experience with business development and account management across multiple geographies
  • Thorough understanding and experience with calling on GPOs, IDNs, etc.
  • Ability to translate the needs of the GPO’s to the organization
  • Ability to manage throughout the organizational structure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to have difficult conversations when warranted (internal and external)
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize facts and insights into concrete, actionable recommendations
  • High level of confidence to build relationships with C-suite/owners/decision maker
  • Industry legal and compliance knowledge
