Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinements) for one or more Scrum teams, ensuring effective collaboration and team facilitation, and delivery of IT system increments or sprints.
Set up JIRA Boards and manage regularly to create AGILE documentation, monitor team progress, ensure transparency of work, and provide insights on team performance and project metrics via burndown charts, velocity tracking, and other relevant metrics.
Collaborate with the Project Manager, Technical Architect, and Product Owners to align team efforts with the customer objectives.
Serve as the main point of contact between the team and stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
Track and report team progress and associated performance metrics using approved tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub, ServiceNow), contributing to Biweekly Status Reports with updates on sprint outcomes, impediments, and resolutions, and progress based on story points.
Actively identify and remove any blockers or obstacles that hinder the team's ability to meet their sprint goals and communicate with PM on such, and Govt PMO, as appropriate.
Support the integration of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices into team workflows, ensuring seamless coordination with release schedules and deployment pipelines.
Assist the Product Owner in refining and prioritizing the product backlog to ensure it is ready for sprint planning, backlog prioritization and grooming, conducting retrospectives, lessons learned.
Identify risks early and track them in Risk Register, work with the team to address them, and escalate as necessary.
Support or Author Project Lifecycle documents as required to meet Lifecycle requirements, milestones, and review gates.
Conduct functionality and project requirements testing for UAT, Verification and Validation, and report progress against backlog or testing requirements.
Requirements
US Citizen
Ability to obtain and/or maintain a government clearance
Bachelors Degree Preferred
8+ years of software project experience with a minimum of 5 years working on agile teams on requirements capture, scrum management, systems documentation and product testing skill
5+ years as scrum master or product owner
2+ years of experience with government clients
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) Certification Required
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong collaboration skills and team facilitation skills
AGILE Environment experience
USAF functional experience preferred
Proven Project Life cycle Documentation skills preferred
