About the role
- Ensure the service delivered to our customers meets contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Clarify customer requirements; probe for understanding, and use decision-support tools and resources to provide an appropriate resolution
- Listen attentively to customer needs and concerns; demonstrate empathy while maximizing opportunities to build rapport with the customer
- Greet customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner following agreed procedures
- Maintain basic knowledge of client products and/or services
- Prepare complete and accurate work, including appropriately annotating accounts as required
- Participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance
- Offer additional products and/or services when appropriate
- Track, document, and retrieve information in the call-tracking database
- Respond to customer inquiries by referring them to published materials, secondary sources, or more senior staff
Requirements
- High school diploma; three to six months of relevant experience preferred
- Courteous with a strong customer service orientation
- Strong computer navigation skills and PC knowledge
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Dependable with strong attention to detail
- Skilled at multi-tasking, with the ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to changes
- Tolerance for repetitive work in a fast-paced, high-production environment
- Ability to work both as a team member and independently
- Demonstrate patience in all customer interactions, maintaining a pleasant and professional tone and manner
- Willingness to rotate shifts as needed
- Depending on location and/or program, additional experience or skills may be required
