About the role
- Ability to take satellite modem system, hardware and software level requirements and develop verification test procedures.
- Ability to create, interpret, modify test scripts for automated test software.
- Ability to troubleshoot moderate to complex satellite modems, such as the SLM-5650, and software.
- Supports Design Verification, First Article Test and Production test Reports, tracks and monitors product performance, capabilities, and defects.
- Writes technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system's operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations.
- Creation and setup of test fixtures.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related work experience is required.
- Experience with lab and network equipment and software, such as Spectrum Analyzers, AWGN Noise Sources, Traffic Generators, Satellite Link Emulators, Oscilloscopes, Ethernet Managed Switches and Wireshark.
