About the role

  • Manage multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously, ensuring all milestones are achieved and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering and support teams to ensure timely provisioning, deployment, and configuration of IT infrastructure components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and equipment prep and shipping, to deliver outstanding service and solutions to clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, promptly addressing concerns and providing updates.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics related to infrastructure project delivery, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings with clients to ensure requirements are being met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Oversee the transition, migration, or decommissioning of IT infrastructure, coordinating with internal teams for seamless execution.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies regarding data security, privacy, and infrastructure management.
  • Work closely with clients to understand business needs and translate them into detailed infrastructure project plans and objectives.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and internal technical teams, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment on project goals.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring adherence to timelines and resource constraints.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Escalate critical project risks or issues to senior management when appropriate.
  • Communicate project status, challenges, and resolutions to clients and internal stakeholders through reports, meetings, and presentations.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate project outcomes, capture lessons learned, and drive process improvements for future initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an infrastructure project manager in an IT environment, ideally at a Managed Service Provider.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents, including Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Experience working in a services organization with client billable hours requirements.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex on-prem and cloud infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.
  • Expertise in identifying and mitigating project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, including cloud platforms, network management, and security.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Leadership and team management skills to schedule, motivate, and guide engineers.
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to address project challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proven ability to document and share technical information clearly and concisely.
