GTS Product Manager – Workplace
ComputacenterProduct Manager providing product evaluation and technical expertise for IT solutions in the UK. Engaging globally to enhance customer contract delivery across multiple vendors.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise the business and customers of the right products for their requirements at the right price
- Provide product evaluation to enable competitiveness and enhance profitability
- Facilitate technical evaluation of products for customers via various technical services
- Use Computacenter IP and knowledge of market trends for commercial benchmarking
- Provide platform agnostic high-level technical expertise
- Provide multi-vendor device options to maintain product margins
- Engage internationally to enable product capability for customer obligations
- Deliver accurate product information for international customer contracts
- Provide early visibility of product changes and roadmaps
- Act as an escalation point for complex technology sourcing requirements
- Liaise with colleagues to ensure best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- Experience in the understanding of supplier contracts
- Experience in dealing with and influencing multi-tier management
- Proven track record of work experience in a challenging commercial environment
- Experience in technical product evaluation and a willingness to work with Computacenter partners
- A willingness to learn and to become the subject matter expert in Technology Sourcing
- Demonstrates strong product technical skills along with the ability to work accurately under pressure
- A proactive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Commercially astute/experience or comparable qualification
