About the role

  • As an MLOps Engineer (m/f/d) you shape the technological foundation for the development, deployment and operation of modern Data & AI platforms.
  • Your focus is on automating, scaling and governing machine learning and AI models — from the initial idea through to production at the client.
  • You work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists and DevSecOps specialists to develop, operate and continuously optimize scalable, secure and reusable AI services.
  • You support Security and Operations — for example by automating monitoring and logging solutions.
  • You ensure operational aspects such as auto-scaling and performance optimization (e.g., GPU/accelerator scaling).
  • You build and operate CI/CD pipelines for ML models — including testing, deployment and monitoring.
  • You use and further develop MLOps tools such as Kubeflow, MLflow and Data Version Control (DVC).
  • You take responsibility for model management (build, deployment, versioning, tracking and serving).
  • You monitor and evaluate model performance, e.g., regarding quality, drift and best-fit analyses.
  • You provide ML/AI products for reuse in customer projects.
  • You produce technical documentation, maintain user stories and actively participate in agile project work.
  • You collaborate closely with Data Engineers and DevSecOps teams.
  • You contribute to conceptual and strategic tasks related to Data & AI Governance.

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional experience in an MLOps or Data Engineering environment
  • Solid knowledge of CI/CD, Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Deep experience with MLOps tools (e.g., Kubeflow, MLflow, DVC)
  • Experience with model builds, deployment, management and scaling
  • Knowledge of model registries, tracking, versioning and serving
  • Experience with monitoring and performance analysis of ML models
  • Understanding of current trends such as Agentic AI and the Model Context Protocol (MCP)
  • Basic knowledge of Data & AI Governance as well as Security & Compliance
