About the role
- Present ceded reinsurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
- Respond to reinsurer and broker queries as required
- Analyze daily and monthly claims movements for XOL recovery
- Maintain the internal reinsurance system to ensure accurate contract positions and manage erosion of available cover
- Input ceded reserves and settlement requests into ReSys and set up ceded policies with appropriate documentation
- Perform credit control activities, including cash collection and monitoring of aged debt
- Assist with due diligence reviews and onboarding of newly acquired books of business
- Support negotiations with counterparties to achieve the best outcomes for Compre-managed companies
- Assist with data cleansing initiatives and ad hoc project work
- Liaise with internal teams and manage workloads effectively, prioritizing competing demands
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in ceded reinsurance accounting
- Strong ceded claims technical expertise
- Solid understanding of contract terms, conditions, and relevant legal frameworks
- Proven experience in credit control and cash collection
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
