About the role
- Own Ongoing SEO Content Strategy Across Multiple Clients
- Manage month-to-month blog strategy for a portfolio of B2B and B2C clients
- Develop recurring content calendars that balance SEO priorities, business goals, and publishing capacity
- Continuously identify and prioritize new blog topics based on keyword research, performance data, and competitive landscape
- Maintain strategic direction and momentum across all client accounts month over month
- Conduct ongoing topic ideation to ensure clients always have a strategic pipeline of blog content
- Translate keyword research, search intent, and competitive insights into clear monthly publishing plans
- Ensure topics are net-new, strategically sound, and aligned with client goals and funnel stages
- Balance quick-win opportunities with long-term strategic initiatives
- Create high-quality SEO content briefs for every blog post across your client portfolio
- Develop briefs that connect search intent, messaging, brand voice, UX, and conversion considerations
- Review and approve briefs produced by contractors or teammates to ensure consistency and quality
- Serve as the final strategic checkpoint before content moves into production
- Act as the client-facing strategic lead for ongoing blog programs in partnership with account managers
- Present monthly content strategies and explain topic prioritization decisions
- Help clients understand how ongoing blog content connects to broader SEO and business goals
- Build trust through consistent delivery and clear strategic communication
- Work closely with SEO specialists, writers, editors, and account managers to ensure seamless execution
- Ensure alignment between blog strategy, technical SEO efforts, and broader marketing initiatives
- Support technical SEO needs related to blog content when needed (internal linking, on-page optimization, etc.)
- Use GA, GSC, and SEMrush data to evaluate blog performance and inform future strategy
- Identify patterns in what's working (and what's not) to continuously improve topic selection
- Translate performance insights into strategic adjustments for upcoming months
- Support content audits and optimization recommendations based on performance data
- Stay current on SEO trends, AI-generated content implications, and evolving search behavior
- Contribute ideas to improve workflows, systems, and scalability across the delivery team
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in SEO content strategy, ideally in an agency or fast-paced consulting environment
- Proven ability to manage ongoing blog strategies for multiple clients simultaneously
- Strong experience creating, refining, and evaluating SEO content briefs at scale
- Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, intent mapping, on-page SEO, internal linking, and content audits
- Comfortable navigating and pulling insights from data, including: Google Analytics (GA / GA4), Google Search Console (GSC), SEMrush (or similar tools)
- Ability to translate performance data into clear, actionable content strategy recommendations
- Clear, confident communicator able to explain SEO decisions to non-technical stakeholders
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple clients and priorities with minimal oversight
