About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer and optimize Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM).
Triage alerts, investigate suspicious activity, and participate in full-lifecycle incident response (containment, eradication, and documentation).
Perform enterprise vulnerability scanning.
Validate secure configuration baselines for servers, endpoints, and cloud resources, and coordinate remediation efforts across teams.
Support the implementation and maintenance of identity controls, including conditional access and device compliance policies.
Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, and End User Compute teams to improve patching, hardening, and device security standards.
Assist in developing technical runbooks and incident response procedures.
Provide technical documentation and evidence for regulatory audits and assessments.
Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, or security engineering.
Proven experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (or similar EDR solutions) and SIEM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar).
Strong familiarity with Azure or other major cloud platforms, alongside scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Python, or KQL).
Demonstrated track record of conducting security investigations and handling incident response activities.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Possession of at least one relevant certification (e.g., Security+, SC-200, CySA+) is highly preferred.
