About the role
- Engage church partners through an external facing, fundraising position to grow Compassion’s Church Partnerships.
- Maximize the continued growth of the Church Partnerships portfolio by providing excellent service and proactively identifying partnership opportunities, re-activating lapsed or dormant partnerships.
- Improve the effectiveness of the Church Partnerships team by intentionally serving existing partners, increasing capacity to pursue new church partnerships.
- Sales and fundraising are central to your role; demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and uphold Compassion’s ministry in prayer and advocacy.
- Act as an advocate to raise awareness of the needs of children and protect children per Christ’s mandate.
- Abide by Compassion’s behavioral expectations and Code of Conduct; report concerns through the internal reporting process and support responses to incidents.
- Perform church engagement activities to achieve team strategy in collaboration with marketing team members.
- Interact with church pastors and other decision-makers to foster effective relationships and growth in acquisitions and giving potential.
- Foster, nurture, and strengthen active, dormant, and/or lapsed church relationships to meet revenue and production goals.
- Organize and help execute Church Group and Vision trips for nurturing partnerships.
- Report to churches through stewardship reports and maintain strong communication related to projects and a personalized affirmation program for prior gifts and involvement.
- Operate within the approved budget, maintain an accurate database, documenting activities and opportunities and following existing process and business rules and requirements.
- Provide required reports summarizing achievement of assigned objectives in accordance with approved processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor\'s Degree in a related field.
- Good interpersonal skills, displayed through written and verbal communications.
- Comfortable within a team environment and collaborating with others to accomplish work.
- Ability to effectively execute phone calls, host Zoom meetings or engage in face-to-face interactions with church partners.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of normal schedule which might include international travel.
- Travelers must follow the vaccination rule of each country they travel to. Some countries require the health record to be uploaded to their system to receive a QR code to present when arriving in immigrations.
- Equivalent education, training and/or certification may be substituted for experience and education shown above.
