Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical leadership across teams and projects, delivering interdependent solutions aligned with company goals.
Design, evolve, and support backend systems and architecture primarily in Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, REST, and related technologies.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Extensive professional experience building and leading software systems (typically 15+ years, with impact valued over years).
Advanced proficiency in Ruby on Rails and backend system design.
Proficiency in React/React Native.
Strong understanding of full-stack architecture, monolithic application patterns, and scalable backend systems.
Experience designing and operating production systems using PostgreSQL and REST APIs.
Familiarity with cloud-hosted infrastructure, including AWS.
Strong independent judgment and ability to navigate complex, ambiguous problems.
Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and empathetically to a wide range of audiences.
Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions across teams.
Must live and work permanently in the United States; CompanyCam is not set up to hire outside the U.S.
