About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide direct operational support to 5–12 veterinary hospitals within a defined region
  • Drive daily operational consistency and reinforce medical, service, safety, and quality standards
  • Monitor client feedback, NPS, online reviews, service metrics, inventory, controlled drugs, and medical records
  • Conduct regular hospital visits and practice assessments covering operations, workflows, staffing, safety, and client service
  • Support Practice Managers with SOPs, policies, quality standards, operational troubleshooting, and decision-making
  • Manage regional P&L performance and review operational KPIs and financial reports
  • Support labor efficiency, cost controls, productivity targets, revenue growth, and operational improvement plans
  • Coach and mentor Practice Managers; partner with Medical Directors on hospital culture and alignment
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, employee engagement, and workplace challenges
  • Support integration of newly acquired hospitals and rollout of new systems, technology platforms, and programs
  • Provide leadership with feedback on regional needs, challenges, and resource requirements
  • Supervise hospital Practice Managers, Office Managers, and hospital team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Veterinary Management, or related field, or equivalent experience in multi-site operations
  • 3+ years of management or multi-site operations experience
  • Strong understanding of customer service, staff management, scheduling, and workflow operations
  • Ability to analyze data, understand KPIs, and manage performance plans
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
  • Ideally located in the Cincinnati area
  • Veterinary or animal health industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of veterinary practice management software preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced, growing multi-location business environment preferred
  • Certification in Veterinary Practice Management preferred
  • Working knowledge of financial accounting systems, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel regularly to hospitals 50–70% in the Cincinnati/TN area
  • Ability to participate in operational meetings and potentially attend off-site conferences, seminars, and workshops
