About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure compliance with District contracts, including the requirements of the SCA
- Perform accounts payable tasks such as entering invoices and verifying payments
- Conduct financial compliance reviews for TCP service providers
- Review payroll data for appropriate wage determination
- Communicate updates to the budget team regarding SCA requirements
- Manage the monthly rental processing and payments
- Oversee expenditure compliance with grant and program budgets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting
- Minimum three years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Experience with federal contracts, SCA, and familiarity with Uniform guidance regulations required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Advanced computer literacy and expertise with software used in a typical office environment, e.g., Microsoft suite of office products, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint to create and maintain reports and logs
- Advanced understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience in conducting payroll in a government contracting environment
- Working knowledge of the SCA, including wage rates, fringe benefits, etc.
- Strong data entry and general math skills
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task
