About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Managing a variety of large scale project portfolios that fall within the technical and non-technical areas from concept through deployment.
  • Works collaboratively with senior leadership, IT groups, business partners, suppliers and other teams to consistently deliver portfolios on time, within scope and within budget.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in healthcare management, information technology, business management, or applicable years of experience (2 years experience = 1 year college)
  • Preferred: Masters
  • Preferred: Project Management certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) or other continual learning org
  • Minimum: Competency using project management tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project or other workflow documentation tools). Working knowledge of Information Technology and business operations.
  • Preferred: Alternative Working knowledge of hospital or business operations.
  • Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
  • The employee communicates effectively. Excellent communication (oral and written) and collaboration skills. Ability to communicate schedules, priorities, and status to all levels in the company.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to perform the functions of the job and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complex tasks autonomously and with proficiency. Works with minimal supervision, and some degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Solid understanding of budget lifecycle, vendor/risk management, and business models. This role has the ability to define the requirements in developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization in the area they have been assigned.

  • Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may also receive additional forms of compensation, including shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable. Manager and above positions may participate in Cottage Health’s annual management incentive program. Physician compensation is determined based upon specialty and may include bonus potential.
