About the role
- Supervise a team of 2-3 attorneys and 1-2 paralegal/support staff
- Handle a reduced caseload of eviction defense and related cases
- Attend courthouse clinics and community events to provide limited representation, information, and advice
- Complete required documentation for both case tracking and personal management
- Supervise 3-5 staff with responsibilities for training, onboarding, case assignment, and professional development
- Hold weekly/biweekly check-ins with team members to discuss cases, workload, and professional development
- Assist with trial preparation and sit second chair on complex cases
Requirements
- Colorado bar admission and JD or the ability to waive into Colorado
- 3+ years' experience as an attorney, with the majority in courtroom litigation and ideally some in housing law
- Leadership experience
- Experience supervising people or the desire to utilize and further build leadership skills
- Demonstrated passion for social and racial justice
- Strong desire to center client and community needs
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Office suite, CLIO, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat desired
- Ability to travel within the Denver Metro area and surrounding suburbs under a hybrid schedule
