About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide confidential, non-judgmental support to callers
- Take calls from callers around the state and provide phone support
- Participate in ongoing training and team-building
- Keep track of all data logs and enter and present data accurately
- Write reports as necessary to the Warmline Shift Leader or assigned Warmline Supervisor
- Provide all information in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
What you’ll need- Identify as a person with lived experience of having big feelings
- Must possess a certificate for completion of the Core Training in Intentional Peer Support (IPS)
- Become registered with the Oregon Health Authority Traditional Health Worker registry as a Peer Support Specialist within the first 6 months of working
- Working understanding of what the Warmline is and what it is not
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Adhere to all policies and procedures
- Must show and/or be willing to learn a fundamental awareness of cross-cultural issues, dual diagnosis/addictions, and effects of PTSD/trauma
- Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats
- Must learn, use, or do Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, and Publisher), keeping written and digital logs for data collection, and handle office automation such as printers, fax, and multi phone lines.
