About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate facility compliance to clinical policy, procedure, and care
- Visit facilities weekly for intervention, audit, and training
- Train new nursing management
- Monitor readiness for State Survey and assist during surveys
- Aid in Plan of Correction process
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current RN license in the state of Ohio
- Minimum of 2+ years experience as DON in a Skilled Nursing Facility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to multi-task and oversees functions at multiple facilities
- Ability to travel, sometimes for an extended time, to facilities within the region, as needed.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long term care administration.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- The ability to communicate well with employees and families about their issues
- Must maintain current CPR certification.
