About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the Business Banking Compliance Subject Matter Expert for the Scams Prevention Framework and related scams regulatory requirements
- Provide specialist expertise, interpretation and coordination while building SPF knowledge and capability across BB Compliance
- Support BB Compliance Advisors with specialist guidance on SPF obligations
- Provide specialist compliance expertise on SPF, scams legislation, regulatory expectations and Group requirements
- Promote consistent interpretation and application of SPF across Business Banking
- Provide regular updates on SPF regulatory developments, emerging issues and guidance
- Develop and deliver SPF training and capability uplift
- Liaise with the Group Regulatory Change and Framework team and Line 1 Regulatory Change team regarding SPF
- Represent BB Compliance in SPF consultations, advocacy and enterprise working groups
- Coordinate SPF governance, planning, prioritisation and management reporting
- Identify and escalate emerging SPF risks, issues and themes
- Provide specialist input on regulatory change, implementation, incidents, issues and compliance assessments
- Share insights and lessons learned to promote consistency and build capability across BB Compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrated practical experience in Compliance Advisory and/or Regulatory Change within the banking and financial services industry
- Strong regulatory interpretation skills and ability to translate complex requirements into clear, practical guidance
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Ability to provide constructive challenge and exercise sound judgement
- Experience developing and delivering training and building capability across diverse stakeholder groups
- Strong working knowledge and practical understanding of the Scams Prevention Framework (SPF), including applicable legislation, rules, codes and regulatory requirements, or ability to quickly develop deep subject matter expertise
- Commitment to CBA’s values of Care, Courage and Commitment
- Relevant tertiary qualification, particularly in law, and/or strong knowledge and practical understanding of payment products and payment systems is highly desirable
