About the role

  • Lead a team responsible for verification of discharge instructions and preparation of relevant discharge documents
  • Prepare systems for settlements/releases, generate payout figures and arrange disbursal of funds for commercial discharges
  • Monitor and analyse team performance and workflows using standardised systems and reporting
  • Lead day-to-day running of the team to drive customer outcomes right first time and within agreed timeframes
  • Identify, drive and deliver continuous improvement and efficiency enhancements
  • Build internal and external relationships through stakeholder management and customer service
  • Plan and execute risk mitigating procedures and report and discuss risk management results
  • Use Group people management systems and policies to manage people and complete required people management activities
  • Provide coaching, mentorship and development opportunities to team members and maintain appropriate resource levels and strong culture

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience managing operational teams
  • Sound knowledge of the commercial loan or Business Banking lending life-cycle
  • Experience providing support, mentorship and development to team members
  • Effective customer service, stakeholder management and negotiating skills
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong risk mindset and ability to identify and mitigate emerging risks
  • Ability to problem-solve for identified process or control gaps
  • Ability to set performance targets and motivate/coach team members
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a continuous improvement culture and a growth/learning mindset
  • Ability to connect in office at least half the time each month (flexible work arrangement)
