About the role
- Report directly to the Engineering Chapter Lead and play a key role in shaping our automation strategy.
- Contribute to product and feature design, and lead the end-to-end software engineering lifecycle.
- Take technical ownership of critical platforms and services such as Cloudflare and Akamai.
- Act as a hands-on subject-matter expert, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and resilient solutions that align with our strategic goals.
Requirements
- Excellent coding, debugging and troubleshooting skills in backend Python API development & Terraform.
- Experience automating Cloudflare, Akamai or similar DDOS, WAF & CDN platforms will be highly desirable.
- Work well in teams and have strong collaboration skills in driving continuous improved initiatives.
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and best practices.
- Take ownership of issues and follow through with end-to-end resolution of issues.
- Have a true DevSecOps mindset and approach.
- Knowledge on cloud, especially AWS, is an added advantage.
- Have a great understanding of software delivery practices and lifecycles in Agile methodologies.
