Key responsibilities & impact

Build scalable enterprise data products and pipelines
Design and develop cloud-native data solutions using Snowflake and AWS
Deliver trusted, analytics-ready datasets
Improve platform performance, resilience and observability
Drive automation and engineering best practices across the data lifecycle
Partner with engineers, architects and business stakeholders to solve complex problems
Support modern engineering approaches and AI-assisted development
Mentor colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement
Build secure, scalable and highly available data platforms supporting banking analytics, AI, fraud detection, customer intelligence and regulatory outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience working with Oracle Exadata, including performance optimisation, high-volume workloads and integration with Snowflake-based data platforms
Strong experience building modern data engineering solutions at enterprise scale
Expertise in Snowflake, SQL and Python
Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions
Understanding of cloud-native engineering and AWS-based platforms
Experience with data modelling, performance tuning and query optimisation
Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, Snowflake, Docker, GitHub and CI/CD
Experience with data validation, automated testing, data reconciliation, performance testing and production support
Experience with REST APIs and shell scripting
Ability to thrive in collaborative Agile teams and share knowledge
Spark and Java experience preferred
