About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a team of engineers and manage client relationships
Select and specify substation equipment
Develop physical electrical design submittals
Prepare equipment specifications, bid evaluations, and procurement recommendations
Coordinate with clients and project management teams
Mentor less experienced engineers and designers
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements
Develop engineering cost estimates for proposals

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Professional Engineer (PE) license
5-10 years of physical electrical design experience in substations
2+ years leading clients and other engineers
Experience in design for substation physical electrical projects.
Proficiency in substation layout and electrical design for a range of voltages (LV to EHV transmission level voltages).
Expertise in scoping, engineering cost estimating, and proposal support.
