About the role

  • Reporting to the Senior Manager of Member Recruitment, the Member Recruitment Manager will primarily support membership growth throughout all phases of the member recruitment lifecycle, including prospecting and recruitment, welcoming and orientation, and transition to implementation and onboarding with a focus on community colleges.
  • Additionally, they may help build and support partnership strategies based on the unique needs of community colleges in conjunction with other teams as needed.
  • As a member of the Recruitment and Onboarding team within the Member Impact division, they are responsible for supporting the development and execution of recruiting, education, and constituent development and engagement strategies to positively promote the vision, mission, and brand of Common App through membership, events, and other special programs and projects.

Requirements

  • Candidates must live in the United States.
  • Willing to travel to attend twice annual Common App Retreat.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, communications, marketing, public relations or similar degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in community college higher education either as student and/or employee with knowledge of the admissions process and enrollment management.
  • 3-5 years of account management and/or business development experience.
  • Deep understanding of the unique value and needs of community colleges.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and listening skills.
  • Effective and persuasive presentation skills; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, fellow managers, and member colleges and universities.
  • Possess outstanding organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to successfully manage many priorities within assigned deadlines.
  • Professionalism and customer service focused; proven relationship-building skills at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to understand organizational structure, products, and processes to educate both internal teams and prospective members.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while also being a strong individual contributor.
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Zoom, and Google Meet.
  • Project management experience.
  • Analytical skills needed to perform survey and data analysis.
  • A passion for higher education is a plus.
