About the role
- Design, implement, and optimize digital workplace solutions across key enterprise platforms
- Serve as a cross-system integrator, implementing solutions that align business needs with technical capabilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design efficient, secure, and scalable solutions
- Implement, operate, and integrate enterprise-level solutions (ERP, CRM, Lead-to-Close, Service Management, etc.) and extend SaaS platforms using platform-specific languages
- Apply integration patterns and protocols (REST, SOAP, message queues) and manage APIs/ESB technologies
- Work with integration platforms (MuleSoft, Workato, Boomi, Apache Camel) and containerization/orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Use cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices including CI/CD, Git, and infrastructure as code
- Interpret business processes and map them to technical workflows to support end-to-end automation
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, provide mentorship, and collaborate across teams
- Report to the Director, Technical Operations as a senior-level member of the Technical Operations team
Requirements
- Candidates must live in the United States
- Willing to travel to attend twice annual Common App Retreat
- 4-6 years of experience designing and implementing scalable integration solutions across enterprise platforms; proven track record as an integration or solutions architect
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, business information technology, systems engineering or relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience implementing, operating, and integrating enterprise-level solutions (ERP, CRM, Lead-to-Close, Service Management, etc.)
- Deep understanding of integration patterns and protocols (REST, SOAP, message queues) and expertise with API management and ESB technologies
- Hands-on experience with enterprise SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, Google Workspace, Atlassian products and Java‑based SaaS solutions; ability to extend and integrate these platforms using platform‑specific languages (e.g., Apex, Java, Python)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python, and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and integration tasks
- Experience with integration platforms (MuleSoft, Workato, Boomi, Apache Camel, etc.) and familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and infrastructure as code
- Ability to interpret business processes, map them to technical workflows and design integrations that support end‑to‑end automation
- Creative problem solver who enjoys experimenting with technology to deliver innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues to a variety of audiences
- Strong interpersonal and mentorship abilities, fostering collaboration across teams
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills to identify root causes of complex issues and contribute to the design and delivery of effective, data-driven solutions
- (Preferred) Advanced proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
- (Preferred) Experience with data modeling, database design (SQL/NoSQL), and monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, Datadog)
- (Preferred) Understanding of security standards, Zero Trust architecture and best practices for API and data integration
- (Preferred) Experience working within Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- (Preferred) Platform‑level certifications (e.g., Salesforce Architect, MuleSoft Integration Architect, Google Cloud Professional, Atlassian Certified Expert)
- (Preferred) Master's degree or higher in a relevant field
- (Preferred) A passion for higher education is a plus
