About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build high-quality front-end features using React and TypeScript
Refactor legacy or complex code to improve readability, testability, and long-term health
Identify and fix issues across the stack with robust, scalable solutions
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and deliver outcomes
Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers
Help shape the team’s technical direction and reduce friction or complexity
Improve the front-end developer experience through tools, testing practices, and performance optimisations
Ensure technical decisions support quality, performance, reliability, and security
Evaluate, extend, and maintain open-source libraries and tools
Contribute to payment integrations functionality and APIs, checkout services, incident management, and on-call responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 3 years of hands-on experience building front-end applications with React and TypeScript
Experience working on complex or long-lived codebases
Education preferred: minimum Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, SW, CE, MIS; or equivalent experience
Ability to write maintainable, well-tested code
Comfortable working in existing systems, building new systems, refactoring, and simplifying code
Ability to explain technical details and trade-offs to engineers and non-engineers
Ownership of outcomes and reliability of commitments
Interest in mentoring and supporting others
Up-to-date knowledge of modern tools and approaches
Proactive, curious, independent, and collaborative working style
