About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee Project Control activities, including project setup, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition support, and financial performance monitoring within Deltek Costpoint.
Manage the FP&A process, including annual budgeting, reforecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, program performance, and leadership reporting.
Oversee Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring timely and accurate billing, cash application, and collections.
Lead and manage IDR financial activities, including tracking, reconciliation and resolution in coordination with customers and internal teams.
Ensure accurate customer and project setup to support billing, revenue recognition, and contractual requirements.
Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models, forecasts, and dashboards to improve visibility into project and company performance.
Establish, document, and maintain financial processes and internal controls related to Project Control, AR, IDR, and FP&A.
Monitor compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable federal regulations.
Support audits by preparing schedules, reports, and documentation, and serving as a key point of contact for financial inquiries.
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
Lead, mentor, and develop team members across Project Control, AR, and IDR functions.
Support ad hoc financial analysis, special projects, and leadership initiatives as needed.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, project control, or FP&A roles.
Strong knowledge of project-based accounting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Experience with Deltek Costpoint strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and communicate results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
