About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Answer agency phone calls and respond to client requests efficiently and professionally
  • Check emails, text messages, and phone messages regularly and respond in a timely manner
  • Handle and coordinate caregiver staffing for emergency and open shifts
  • Ensure open shifts are covered by the close of each day for the following two days
  • Report client, family, and employee concerns to supervisory staff
  • Report incidents to the supervisor
  • Manage intake telephone calls and emails from prospective clients and answer questions
  • Document minimal intake information and notify the owner of inquiries
  • Provide weekend support to clients, prospective clients, and caregivers who call or text

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients/families, co-workers, and prospective clients
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks under strict deadlines
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional home care administration training or certification preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • U.S. citizenship and/or equivalent employment status
  • Must be available from 6:00 p.m. Friday through 9:00 a.m. Monday
  • Must live in the Northern Virginia, Maryland, and District of Columbia area
  • Must attend initial in-person training on software
  • Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism
  • Compliance with HIPAA and client confidentiality requirements
  • Understanding of Clients Rights and Responsibilities
  • Ability to apply workplace safety concepts and agency policy
  • Adherence to agency policies, procedures, ethics, and professional standards
