Calculates taxes or verifies correct calculations (ICMS, IPI, ICMS-ST and DIFAL) and prepares the issuance of payment/collection slips or compensation documents for liabilities.
Advises other company departments on the correct recording of documents for incoming and outgoing goods and services.
Seeks guidance and solutions related to fiscal bookkeeping activities: consults bibliographic sources, legal texts and online resources to stay updated on tax legislation; assists tax inspectors and auditors by providing requested clarifications or takes responsibility for preparing various documents (e.g., questionnaires from public authorities) to meet legal requirements.
Maintains control and organizes the files of documents processed by the department to support potential tax inspections, audits and internal controls.
Requirements
Experience in the tax area.
Knowledge of taxes (ICMS, IPI, PIS and COFINS, ISS and withholdings in general).
Knowledge of ancillary obligations in general and special tax regimes.
Bachelor's degree in Law, Accounting, Business Administration or related fields.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
