About the role

  • Design and implement robust, testable, and scalable backend services using PHP 8.x and Symfony.
  • Build and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs that power our web and mobile applications.
  • Participate in rigorous peer code reviews and contribute to internal coding standards.
  • Optimize complex SQL queries and design efficient database schemas (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Frontend Developers, and QA Engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Occasionally assist junior developers through pair programming and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-4 years of commercial experience in PHP (8.x preferred)
  • Deep understanding of Symfony (6+)
  • Experience in writing unit and integration tests (PHPUnit, Pest, or Behat)
  • Practical knowledge of Design Patterns, SOLID, and DRY principles
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with ORMs (Doctrine or Eloquent)
  • Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI), and basic cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
  • B2+ level English for effective communication in a global environment
  • Nice to have: Basic knowledge of Python, Knowledge of Redis or RabbitMQ, Experience in Microservices or Event-Driven Architecture
