About the role
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial insurance market.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
- Analyze client businesses to assess their insurance requirements and risks.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Oversee the policy administration process, including policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, and claims.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, changes in insurance laws and compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling other insurance products or additional coverages to existing clients.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions.
- Continuously improve knowledge and skills through training, workshops, and industry certifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field (preferred).
- Proven track record of successful sales and business development in the commercial insurance industry.
- Possess or willing to obtain necessary insurance licenses and certifications.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and risk management practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration skills.
- Proficient in using computer software, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Results-driven with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets and quotas.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tailor insurance solutions to meet clients' needs.
