About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set up and operate simpler machines in Department 44
- Perform assembly, drilling, tapping, grinding, painting, and handwork operations
- Operate hand tools, paint line, tap, and thread machines as required
- Perform and document quality checks on department machines
- Check, record, and adjust coolant concentrations
- Change or replace tooling
- Complete required work-center forms
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Equivalent experience with training in ABC print and work order reading and measurement techniques
- Detailed training in machine operation is required
- Must be able to interpret manufacturing prints and work order packets
- Must be able to sharpen chasers
- Must be able to perform basic CMBIS transactions
- Ability to interpret drawings and work order packets to set up equipment and run acceptable products
- Must be able to troubleshoot and correct minor problems in the work center
- Ability to safely lift, lower, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
