About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set up and operate all machines and equipment in the assigned work center
- Adjust equipment as necessary to produce acceptable products
- Set up and run a variety of trim presses
- Verify product quality using manufacturing prints and gauges
- Work in crew-serviced drop hammers, die forgers, and auxiliary equipment arranged in work cells
- Wear required personal protective equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous forging experience preferred
- Ability to interpret manufacturing prints, drawings, work order packets, and written, oral, or diagram-form instructions
- Ability to set up equipment and produce acceptable products
- Ability to lift, lower, push, or pull up to 40 lbs. safely
- Ability to work in a crew and fast-paced environment
- Must maintain a safe work environment, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
- Must wear proper personal protective equipment as required
