Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the organization's North American shared services functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, expense administration, and vendor management
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, regulatory requirements, company policies, and internal control standards
- Direct preparation of management reports and audit support documentation
- Drive process standardization, automation, continuous improvement, and ERP optimization
- Develop and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics
- Partner with business leaders on strategic initiatives, financial planning, organizational growth, and business transformation
- Build, lead, and develop accounting and shared services teams
- Manage departmental budgets, workforce planning, risk management, and organizational change initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing shared service teams covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, expense administration, and vendor management
- Experience in a multi-entity, multi-location, or complex organizational environment
- Demonstrated success leading process improvement and transformation initiatives
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Deep understanding of shared services operating models and best practices
- Proven ability to lead large teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and executive presentation abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems
- Experience managing audits, internal controls, and compliance programs
- Ability to travel 30%+ across CMCO's U.S. footprint
