About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- In charge of engine room operations and maintenance of all machinery
- Ensure safe, efficient operation of main engine, auxiliaries, and electrical systems
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance and repairs
- Monitor fuel consumption, lube oil, and engine performance
- Lead and manage engine crew, assign duties, and conduct training
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8 months in rank on the same type of vessel
- Experience in repairs and dry docking is required
- Holder of a valid COC (STWC Reg III/2) with verification
- Holder of valid STCW certifications required for the position
- Experience with a multicultural working environment
- Fluent in the written and spoken English language
