About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • In charge of engine room operations and maintenance of all machinery
  • Ensure safe, efficient operation of main engine, auxiliaries, and electrical systems
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance and repairs
  • Monitor fuel consumption, lube oil, and engine performance
  • Lead and manage engine crew, assign duties, and conduct training
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8 months in rank on the same type of vessel
  • Experience in repairs and dry docking is required
  • Holder of a valid COC (STWC Reg III/2) with verification
  • Holder of valid STCW certifications required for the position
  • Experience with a multicultural working environment
  • Fluent in the written and spoken English language
