About the role
- Lead and steward all financial planning and operations for the organization
- Partner with departmental leads to align financial resources with strategic goals
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting team including general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements
- Manage cash flow and forecast
- Create and implement annual budgeting process
- Coordinate all audit activity and communication with independent auditors
- Manage employee benefit programs in collaboration with HR
- Develop accounting department goals and performance objectives
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, or business
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- 7+ years of accounting or finance experience
- 2+ years of progressive management and supervisory experience
- Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to racial, social, and economic justice
- Proficient in financial software and computer skills
- Ability to drive efficiencies and process improvement
