About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and send customer invoices; apply cash receipts and credits accurately
  • Monitor AR aging and follow up on past-due balances
  • Review, code, and process vendor bills and employee reimbursements
  • Schedule and track payments; maintain vendor and customer records
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, AR, and AP accounts
  • Research and resolve billing or payment discrepancies
  • Maintain organized transaction documentation and audit trails
  • Support month-end close and year-end preparation
  • Build weekly cash, AR aging, and AP status dashboards in Sheets or Excel
  • Track department budgets and note basic variances
  • Collect assumptions and update forecast templates
  • Follow internal controls and compliance requirements
  • Keep SOPs and checklists current and suggest process improvements
  • Communicate with teammates, vendors, and clients across Colorfuel’s companies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Early-career finance professional who is organized, curious, and eager to learn
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through; able to double-check numbers and meet deadlines
  • Clear, friendly communicator who builds trust with teammates, vendors, and clients
  • Comfortable in Excel or Google Sheets, including lookups, pivots, and basic formulas
  • Familiarity with basic accounting concepts, including debits/credits, AR/AP, and reconciliations
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, maintain organized documentation, and protect confidential information
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business, or equivalent experience
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Experience with an accounting system such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar is nice to have
