About the role
- Design and build novel products and features with a focus on exceptional patient-facing experiences
- Collaborate with product, design, data, business intelligence, and clinical teams to build experiences and services
- Improve the quality, reliability, and speed of core products and services
- Propose and implement changes to data models, core architecture, and codebase
- Develop across all levels of the technical stack
- Deliver patient-centered solutions that increase cancer screening adherence and improve health outcomes at scale
- Contribute to projects such as smarter onboarding funnels, modular Cancer Risk Assessment sections, marketing site modernization, and data-informed product iteration
Requirements
- 4+ years of industry experience as a software engineer (or equivalent role)
- Experience building and launching numerous features, products or systems successfully into production
- Experience with modern web stacks
- Commitment to rigorous engineering practices: code reviews, automated testing, logging, monitoring, alerting
- Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical collaborators
- Experience defining product roadmaps in collaboration with Product, Design, Researchers and stakeholders
- Experience building and iterating based on user feedback and data-driven metrics
- Nice to have: experience with Python, Django, Typescript, React, REST APIs, AWS, and SQL
- Nice to have: experience acting as a technical lead for teams or projects of 1-3 engineers
- No background or expertise in healthcare is required
