Product Manager, Global Tracheostomy – Medical Devices
ColoplastProduct Manager overseeing the global tracheostomy product portfolio in a medical device firm. Developing solutions and collaborating with global teams to enhance patient care.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for a global product portfolio in the field of tracheostomy
- Initiate and further develop the portfolio based on product and market performance
- Create and maintain portfolio and pipeline overviews and communicate them internally and externally
- Develop mitigation scenarios and manage escalation handling
- Lead and participate in international projects related to the product portfolio
- Build and maintain competitive analyses and market intelligence
- Support local markets and global market communication
- Actively shape the organizational development of the area of responsibility
- Work closely with global teams, internal stakeholders and international sales units
- Responsible for the global traded goods portfolio (third-party products)
- Prepare and co-lead business meetings and contract negotiations together with procurement
- Develop robust business cases, including make-or-buy analyses
- Identify and realize global synergies
- Ensure sustainable portfolio hygiene and optimize complementary product segments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, business, healthcare/health management, natural sciences/biomedicine or a related field; alternatively, completed healthcare vocational training (nursing, operating theatre assistant (OTA), medical technical assistant (MTA), physiotherapy) is desirable
- Solid knowledge and several years' experience (3–5 years) in international product and portfolio management, ideally in a regulated environment (MedTech/Pharma)
- Strong project management skills, with experience in international communication and stakeholder management
- Experience with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 13485) and clinical applications desirable
- Understanding of clinical and/or out-of-hospital (home) ventilation applications is an advantage
- Proficient in MS Office
- Fluent English (C1) and at least good German (minimum B1); additional languages are a plus
- Analytical, structured and solution-oriented approach to work
- Strategic thinker with a strong results orientation
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills
- Integrity and the ability to navigate complex decision-making processes
- Team player who enjoys working in a dynamic, international environment
