About the role
- Serve as an integral part of the marketing team supporting the implementation of IU events.
- Partner with educational and product marketing teams to coordinate event logistics and planning.
- Plan and execute a wide range of events including in-person, virtual, symposiums, surgical skills workshops/labs, dry labs, case observations, and webinars.
- Manage event expenditure tracking and reporting.
- Create and upkeep monthly and quarterly event and attendee reports for management analysis.
- Manage pre- and post-event logistics, including communication with attendees and participants, and registration management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience and secondary education.
- 3+ years of experience in marketing or event planning.
- Experience working in a regulated environment, i.e., healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical preferred.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally required.
- Requires exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; facilitation, organizational and follow-up skills, the ability to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational skills; ability to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks to accommodate changing needs in a fast-paced environment, and solicit input from all contributors to joint projects.
- Maintains impeccable attention to detail and follow through.
- Desire to learn and expand knowledge and experience in event management practices.
