About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and respond to subpoenas, garnishment orders, discovery requests, and other legally mandated notices
- Coordinate and support e‑discovery processes, including email searches, document retrieval, and electronic data collection relevant to legal requests
- Work closely with internal business contacts (e.g., HR, Payroll, IT, Operations)
- Engage with external legal counsel on matters related to discovery and subpoenas
- Maintain organized records of all requests, responses, and related correspondence
- Assist with process improvements, templates, and documentation related to subpoena and discovery response workflows
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience as a law clerk at a law firm
- Paralegal Certificate or similar equivalency
- Experience with Purview is a bonus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in a very fast paced environment with multiple deadlines
- Strong organization skills, ability to work independently, and proactive foresight to anticipate next steps is needed
