About the role
- Perform Performance Engineering activities for critical projects by designing and executing comprehensive performance test strategies
- Conduct end-to-end performance testing, load testing, stress testing, and scalability testing for core platform features and services
- Develop and maintain performance test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Utilize monitoring and observability tools to analyze performance test results and collaborate with engineering teams on resolution
- Set up and manage necessary test environments
- Apply the scientific method to systematically examine and break down complex performance data
- Work closely with system architects and infrastructure teams to optimize software and hardware configurations
- Provide regular performance test reports and metrics to stakeholders
- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends in design patterns and test automation
- Act as a solution-oriented professional to solve performance challenges
- Maintain open communication with engineering, product, and architecture teams
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software performance testing, preferably within a SaaS or enterprise software environment
- Proficiency in performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or similar
- Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python)
- Hands-on experience and understanding of web technologies (HTTP, REST APIs, etc.) and application performance monitoring (APM) tools like Datadog or Grafana
- Good understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines, with direct experience using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Proven ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- You must have work authorization to work in Prague, CZ.
