About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate and maintain a wide range of high-fidelity simulators and healthcare simulation equipment
- Utilize and troubleshoot simulation software such as Laerdal LLEAP, SimCapture, KBPort, Sim2Gro, and SimX VR
- Program requested healthcare simulations and prepare the physical environment, including the application of moulage to manikins to enhance realism
- Align all simulation practices with the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice (HSSOBP)
- Assist with the pre-briefing and debriefing process by managing audio/visual equipment
- Provide scheduled maintenance and maintain equipment checklists
- Act as a technical liaison for faculty and students, and communicate articulately with vendors and service providers regarding complex technical issues.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in a related profession as a simulation operator or a comparable role
- Skilled in the use of computer software, hardware, basic applications and audio-visual equipment
- Ability to travel to multi-campus sites as needed
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional extended hours as needed.
