About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate and maintain a wide range of high-fidelity simulators and healthcare simulation equipment
  • Utilize and troubleshoot simulation software such as Laerdal LLEAP, SimCapture, KBPort, Sim2Gro, and SimX VR
  • Program requested healthcare simulations and prepare the physical environment, including the application of moulage to manikins to enhance realism
  • Align all simulation practices with the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice (HSSOBP)
  • Assist with the pre-briefing and debriefing process by managing audio/visual equipment
  • Provide scheduled maintenance and maintain equipment checklists
  • Act as a technical liaison for faculty and students, and communicate articulately with vendors and service providers regarding complex technical issues.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in a related profession as a simulation operator or a comparable role
  • Skilled in the use of computer software, hardware, basic applications and audio-visual equipment
  • Ability to travel to multi-campus sites as needed
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional extended hours as needed.
